A year in review

Cillian Murphy

Happy New Year, friends! We'd like to take this time to reflect on this past year packed with great film and unparalleled theater from our favorite blue-eyed Irishman.

Cillian was busy working on developing projects during the first part of the year. In July, Irish theater fans were treated to the phenomenal stage presence of Cillian as Thomas Magill in Enda Walsh's one-man tour de force, Misterman.

It wasn't until October's limited release of Retreat, followed by the full theatrical release of In Time, that Cillian fans outside of Ireland were treated to his screen presence.

Cillian made his U.S. stage debut in November, reprising his role in Misterman, setting all-time records for St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.

2011 proved to be just as exciting as anticipated!

This year we look forward to Red Lights, a paranormal/psychological thriller in which Cillian stars opposite Academy Award winners Robert de Niro and Sigourney Weaver.

Will fans get to see Cillian reprise his role as Scarecrow/Dr. Jonathan Crane in this summer's release of The Dark Knight Rises? Only time will tell!

I actually can't wait for him to come back. Does he have any projects in view for the new year?
