HQ - I've been to about a dozen Broadway plays and have seen everything from the high to the low end.... The only things I'd stay away from are:
-sweatpants
-yoga pants
-shorts
-tank-tops
-tack suit
A nice pair of pants or some dark wash jeans and a sweater will probably be just fine for Brooklyn.

Attire

Just curious.... what type of attire is considered or expected at St. Ann's? I know also the time of the show depends on the attire... but if you are seeing an evening show... what type of attire are you expected to dress in? I've never been to a show in NY... heck... I've never been to NY, lol.

I was praying to go so badly, and finally I will! Puerto Rico is far from NY...but that would not stop me from seeing him for the very 1st time. Can't wait! PD: Wish luck to those who will go too!!! *Acting Bring Smiles*

First of all... thanks Anonymous and & Anonymous #2 & etc. for the advice and the links. I will check out tripadvisor for sure.. especially if I am able to go.
Marie - I feel your pain. I just got back from Europe visiting family stationed overseas only to have my boss fire me because she said my "Approved" vacation was too long o.O
Now.. I find myself in the middle of a wrongful termination suit and trying to get unemployment. I hope I can get all of this cleared up soon that way I can determine if I am able to go. Gah!
This is just horrible for me.. I arrived in Europe only hours after Cillians last Misterman performance and now I get back to see this... and I may not even get to go. :(

I'm thinking of going, I'm in Canada, close to the Ontario/Buffalo border and I have a week off in the middle of December and would like to go then, would be nice though, I saw him at the Toronto International Film Festival a few years back, he signed my DVD and posed for photos, really nice guy, hope to see the show in Brooklyn :)

tickets

Membership gets you a waived $3/ticket 'service fee'. And I think one 'free' drink before each performance. But the biggest perk is getting to pick your seat now as opposed to two weeks from now when they go on sale to the public. If that weren't a big deal to me then I would have passed on the membership. But I am used to paying $100 - $150 / ticket for shows on Broadway. With the membership fee and two St. Ann's tickets I am paying about 1/2 of what I am accustomed to paying so it sort of feels like I'm getting a really good deal.

Wow...so a lot of you are purchasing memberships for 50..on top with paying 40-to 60 for tickets..the membership doesn't give you a discount?

I'm in the fortunate position of being able to go anywhere anytime without worrying about the next day. Ironically, I'm in the unfortunate position of being unemployed right now. I'd really love to go, but there's no realistic way I can afford it.
Unless miracles really do happen.

Thanks, Anonymous-- Yeah, I've watched the Registry, and I've pulled back my share of comforters and checked bedframes... but, once again, it's TripAdvisor to the rescue. People don't pull punches over there...! And everything-- EVERYTHING-- but the camera and the Kindle get cooked when I get home. Bedbugs and woodticks: they're my Kryptonite. (Mice, spiders, snakes: fine. Woodticks? Instant panic.) Think the reason Manhattan got "bugged" so severely this year was because it's so crowded and so terribly interconnected. The bugs were traveling from business to business through the walls in the same block....

ANYWAY. Aloft looks like a groovy place, and it's new. We're only there for the weekend, anyway: one of the touchy things about the timing of the play's run (besides the dice-roll of weather between Minnesnowda and New York in December) is that, for many people, getting time off around the holidays is practically impossible. My friend couldn't get any weekdays free at all: she's heading straight back to work (her job is about three-quarters of a mile from the airport) when we get back on Monday; I'll be going to work that night.

But it will be worth it. "Misterman" is like a Cillian Murphy show-reel. It's got everything; it's absolutely amazing....
