Misterman a major hit!

For a dark play about a man with disturbing thoughts, the reviews for Enda Walsh's Misterman have been nothing short of glowing. The Galway Advertiser said, "Cillian Murphy turns in an electrifying, bravura performance" as Thomas Magill, a man who manipulates tape recorded voices. (Trivia tidbit: One of the voices belongs to Eileen Walsh, Cillian's co-star in Disco Pigs, the Enda Walsh play that launched Cillian's career.)

The Irish Times praised Cillian's "genuinely virtuoso performance" and described the play as being "fiendishly enjoyable to watch." Irish Theater Magazine said, "Murphy hits the mark every time." From The Guardian: "Murphy is riveting." And Galway City Tribune wrote, "To describe Cillian Murphy as amazing . . . barely begins to do justice to the actor's performance."

We've heard from the critics about this sold-out smash — now we want to hear from you! Any Cillian fans out there who were lucky enough to score tickets, send your review to !

When you're in uncomfortable position and have got no cash to get out from that point, you would need to receive the business loans. Because that should aid you for sure. I take consolidation loans every time I need and feel great because of that.

What an outstanding performance! Had only been a periphery fan of Cillian's before - and went to it without tickets. Had to queue for an hour and a half before enough people dropped out for us to be let in. Had to pay full whack (a bit ridiculous if you are students like we are) but absolutely worth it. He was absolutely brilliant - not one moment of boredom. I wish he would bring it to London - it would be a smash hit. Cannot get the Doris Day song out of my head either!

Misterman will be forever imprinted in my being. That play has sailed into my veins for the rest of my existence. Cillian is beautiful. He shaved his huge beard off straight after the last performance :) he hung with us for a little while, he's a gentleman! ...but I was incredibly shy! Galway is such a beautiful place, beautiful people too! <3

I wished I was there!!! I wanted to see that play so badly. Oh well...Puerto Rico is defenetly so far away from there (is an island in the Caribbean, is not Cuba nor Dominican Republic/Haiti). Hope those who went enjoyed it, and I know Cillian did stunning and bloody brilliant. His so talented and so inspiring to those who enjoy and learn a lot in the 7th Art world (Acting/Singing/Dancing/Performance). PD: Loved the reviews of the play.

Hi-- still turning it over in my head, and jet-lagged, too-- Saw it three times this last weekend, and, honestly, I think it's the best, most beautiful thing he's ever done. He embodies the script: from comedy to action to visceral violence, from madness and yearning to an awful loneliness, he does it all, and does it perfectly. His multiple characters, with all their entailing changes in accent, physicality, and gender, are spot-on. This is the piece of theater that made me say, after all these years, "So THIS is what it's all about." Good God, what a performance. And what a play. The women running the show-- the box-office manager, the site manager at the Black Box, and one of the festival directors herself-- were infinitely kind to me as well. (I was "walking wounded": I traveled to Galway from the States with a badly pinched sciatic nerve.) Had to miss the gala performance for those of us who'd contributed to the Fund:It campaign for the play (I'm a "guardian angel" now, I guess: never thought a phrase like that would come within a mile of my sorry self!), but they very, very kindly arranged a brief meet-and-greet for me with Cillian following the show on Sunday. I'm still flying here; I'm stunned and very happy. Cheers, all!
