Well, no one was twisting his arm to be there. (Oh, how terrible, thinks Cillian: I have to dress up, hang out with fabulous people (Stephen Fry? Tell me how I get to "suffer" like that!), and then go to any of a number of swell after-parties. Poor, poor me!) This wasn't a promotional junket. No one was forcing him to fly all the way across the Atlantic and then across North America. I think he looking grim because he was nervous: that's how he came off when he was at the podium. BOTH hands out of the pockets, Cillian!

You, yes? Hope you told him this while you had the chance.

I was there, too, in the front row on the opposite side. Flew in from Minnesota the day before. Got a chance to chat with him a bit afterward. What a sweet evening... it all seems a bit dreamlike right now. He's a charmer, and that's a fact. And Cork is a great town.

as I would love to know that Cillian Murphy was the girl sweater ... that hurts me I can not know I am far from it, I'm from Buenos Aires Argentina

Oh my god Shannon, I always thought that if I ever encountered him that would be the question I would ask, if he had roles he had passed on and later regretted, so I got really excited after I read it, now I no longer have to wonder, too bad he didnt actually name any of the movies though. But what a wonderful experience! If you go back to see him perform take lots of pictures and please post them, wish I had that kind of money to go all the way to Ireland to see him, thank you so much for sharing your story!

09:45am in Malaysia time and 02.45am in London time... Happy Birthday Cillian... i know him just in march 2011... this year in red eye... so very, very new fan, right...??? i think i am.... :)
