Watch the hard-to-find Sunburn + upcoming Strangers, lost Hippie

See Cillian's first starring role: Sunburn

Some lovely Cillian fan has put the extremely hard-to-find 1999 indie Sunburn up on YouTube. Cillian is all wet behind the ears and gorgeous—watch it while you can!

New films: more on Strangers and the still M.I.A. Hippie

As we blogged in June, Cillian will star in the World War II film Wayfaying Strangers, a "character-driven thriller" which Variety reported was to film this month (not sure if that's happening). Production company Chic Films offers a tidbit about the plot, which sounds remarkably tense:

Occupied France in 1942. A unit of British paratroopers are held by their German captors in a remote farmhouse. The farmer's family are sheltering a young Jewish couple in the attic and their fate seems dangerously inevitable. But heroism is never so predictable...

IFTN lists Strangers as being in pre-production, along with At-Swim-Two-Birds. Nothing in Variety or on IMDb yet about the film or Cillian's participation.

And now back to a film Cillian finished in 2007! Like we are, The New York Post's film critic Lou Lumenick is wondering why Hippie Hippie Shake hasn't been released. This was a juicy lead role for Cillian, but it has been delayed for years, and though it was supposed to come out this year, it shows no signs of doing so. On 13 August, Lumenick summed it up with this painful advice: "Guess we should keep an eye on Universal Home Entertainment's announcements of upcoming DVD releases." While that would be another straight-to-DVD disappointment for fans, it would certainly be better than Hippie languishing in the can forever, which is starting to seem possible. It is apparently such a disaster that the couple who directed and wrote it walked off the production last year.

Thanks to Martyn for the Sunburn tip!

Various people in all countries get the personal loans from different banks, because that's simple and comfortable.

I own 'Sunburn' too - it is sweet. Puts him together with the same love interest he had in "The Way We Live Now" (Paloma Baeza). He also has a very short cross-dressing scene. He made a much prettier girl in 'Breakfast' and 'Peacock'...He also has a scene at the end where he runs. He is a fantastic actor but he runs the exact same way no matter who he is playing.
