Another video from Cillian's session with Flaunt has surfaced on YouTube—see below. And check out the new photos we've added to the gallery for the Flaunt photoshoot by Yu Tsai.
Cillian to shoot two new films this fall?
Cillian could have two new films under his belt if all goes well for two fascinating sounding projects, one opposite Thandie Newton and one that Justin Timberlake might also do.
The Retreat, due to begin filming in Wales this September and dubbed a "bio/psychological hazard pic" by Empire, will star Cillian and Newton (ER, Crash) as a couple who take a remote vacation to reconnect, only to be confronted by a soldier in a biohazard suit who tells them, perhaps lying, that he and they are the last people alive on earth. Jamie Bell just signed on to play the soldier. This flick makes us think of the tensions of 28 Days Later... crossed with the intimate suspense of Red Eye, both mainstream smashes for Cillian—looks to be promising!
Cillian is in final negotiations for a perhaps smaller role in I'm.mortal, but the character sounds fascinating, as well as pivotal like Colin Farrell's part in Minority Report was. This film takes a more sci-fi turn, being set in the near future, and is also slated to begin filming in (late) September (hmm...). The Hollywood Reporter describes it this way:
The story is set in the not-too-distant future, when the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, and the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. When a poor man named Will (Timberlake, who still is negotiating his deal) is suddenly given a fortune, he becomes the target of a murder investigation and kidnaps an heiress (Amanda Seyfried) while on the run. Murphy will play an officer from an organization known as Timekeepers and described as "precise as the time he keeps."
