Druid reprised

This past week Dublin residents were treated with a Druid 35th Birthday performance entitled From Galway to Broadway and Back Again in which Cillian reprised his acclaimed role of Christy in a selection from Playboy of the Western World. As part of one of Druid's most memorable productions, Cillian's performance was among several by many of Ireland's leading actors. Proceeds from this special evening will go towards Druid's Education Outreach initiative (The Silver Tassie) and its ongoing New Writing program.

Total Film article with striking photos

Matt Mueller of Total Film magazine has written an article about Cillian featuring some gorgeous new photographs taken by Matt Holyoak. Appearing "genuinely contrite," Cillian apologized for his inability to share too many details about his upcoming role in Inception. We learn that Cillian was asked by Chris Nolan to read the script of Inception and tell him which role he felt best suited for. Lucky for us, they both agreed and Cillian was hired for the part. True to Cillian's longing to always seek out new roles and new characters, the film promises to be give us Cillian in a part that we've never seen him play before. If you're eager to see the photos and read the text, you can see them here, in our Feature Stories section.

Tell Chris Nolan we want Cillian back!

Following Cillian's recent interview in which he mentioned he would love to play Scarecrow again if Christopher Nolan asked him, a fellow Cillian fan has just started a new Facebook group called "Tell Chris Nolan We Want Cillian Murphy Back As Scarecrow In Batman 3." If you are a likeminded fan, take a quick click over and voice your opinion.

That sounded awsome, I had the chance to see Cillian on stage in 2006 for "Love Song", he is phenomenal, a really great talented artist with such a deep voice (I mean he's so handsome you wouldn't think his voice could sound anything like that !). Did U see that on the Irish Times website there are two pics of him on stage, the second one (Legend: Cillian Murphy in a scene from At the Black Pigs Dyke by Vincent Woods. Photographs: Colm Hogan) is so funny that it deserves to be in your galery. Love from France. Corinne
