The CillianSite is very pleased to bring you an exclusive advance review of Perrier's Bounty and a story about attending its premiere at TIFF from our affiliate Popshifter.com, a fantastic webzine with a fandom-based approach to writing about pop culture. The pieces were written by our former contributing editor, The Automatik; she is Popshifter's founder and managing editor.

We've also got her friend Barry Sanders' photographs from TIFF.

We hope you'll enjoy reading The Automatik's engaging tale of going to see Cillian at TIFF and, of course, ogling the photos of Cillian she snapped. She tells all about the red carpet scene and the post-screening Q&A, as well as an instrusive celebrity presence that harshed her Cillian buzz. We've added pages for this and for Barry's photos to our Fandom section along with our other fun Cillian Encounters stories and galleries.

Her thumbs up review of Perrier's Bounty gives the scoop on the film and Cillian's performance for those of us who couldn't make it to Toronto. It's the first Perrier's review to hit our Press archive.

Pardon me...? Yes, we went up to TIFF to see Cillian at the red-carpet premiere for "Perrier's Bounty," and we enjoyed seeing him (and other stars) at Special Presentation screenings while we were in Toronto. But we weren't trying to follow him (or anyone else) all over town. I'm sorry if I misunderstood your response.

What's maybe even more disturbing than the general celebrity mania that grips Toronto during the fest is the specific targeting of one particular hotel. It's on an east-west route on the north end of the festival village; it's near an exclusive shopping district. When we were at the 2006 film festival, a friend and I walked past it while out on a general sight-seeing/shopping stroll. A whole mob was gathered right outside the doors. We asked someone: "Who are you waiting to see...?" The glaze-eyed reply? "Anyone." I don't want to fan the celebrity-hunter flames here, so I'm not going to name the place by name. Let's just say-- AGAIN: CREEPY-- that Cillian was photographed by a Twitter user this year as he attempted to enter said hotel through the gathered horde. I ID'd the location by noting a landmark that appeared across the street in said photo. If I were the TIFF organizers, I'd either up the security at the place to enforce the city's loitering laws or scatter the festival's star-power more thoroughly.
