Perrier's Bounty starts filming on the east coast of Ireland

Cillian shooting in Clogherhead, Ireland
Ireland's The Drogheda Independent reports that filming on Perrier's Bounty has begun in the fishing village of Clogherhead. The filmmakers chose Sharkey's Pub to stand in as a Dublin pub for a father-son scene between Jim Broadbent and Cillian.
"They asked us to pick ten locals here to act as extras," explains Thomasina McGuigan, sister of owner Fergal Sharkey. "They were taken up to wardrobe, which were in these huge trucks, and dressed as local drinkers. ... [The cast and crew] were very down to earth and Cillian was outside having a cigarette with us after all the scenes were finished. ... He's a small, slight guy, very handsome and he has a very powerful voice when he's acting. Everyone was fascinated, it was amazing to see how it was shot and how long it took to shoot just one scene."
A few other scenes were filmed locally, as shown in the somewhat grainy photo. I must admit, I'm excited to see Cillian costumed in an outfit he himself might wear, instead of more period gear (as much as I enjoy that too).
Cillian in short film by Feist's boyfriend, Kevin Drew
It turns out that the Feist video we blogged that Cillian was doing is actually the debut short film by Broken Social Scene's leader, Kevin Drew. Paste says that Drew found inspiration in "the emotion" of his girlfriend's song, "The Water," and decided to film "the classic tale of a loved one coming back to life." Alongside Feist and Canadian actor David Fox, Drew cast Broken Social Scene fan Cillian, whom he interviewed last year for Under the Radar. In classic Drew/BSS fashion, the making of the film was a collaborative affair, as the four developed the film's storyboard together:
"The story was sort of mine and then [Feist started contributing] and then when Cillian and David came in we all sort of sat down with this idea and found how the characters would be portrayed within all of us being together and talking it out."
The resulting short, shot in just two days last January, is reportedly enigmatic and open to interpretation, with almost no dialogue. Drew is sending it to film festivals, and it will probably not be shown in other venues. The article doesn't confirm whether or not the title of the film, like the song, is "The Water."
