Minghella to replace Redmayne in Heart?

IMDb now lists Max Minghella as Cillian's costar in the upcoming film White Male Heart, which has yet to begin production. This has effectively removed Eddie Redmayne from the film's cast listing on IMDb. However, information about this change is scarce. Only one other source, the Scottish Daily Record, had even briefly mentioned Minghella's involvement, and this only in passing in a feature about one of the film's producers back in August.

Some of us at The CillianSite are skeptical about this casting news. The lack of sources reporting Redmayne's dropping out of the project and Minghella's signing on makes the news possibly unreliable. Also, the two leads in Heart are supposed to be the same age. In reality, Cillian is nine years Max's senior, and on top of that, Max appears younger than his actual age. But potentially, the magic of cinematic arts could overcome these obstacles.

Hopefully in early 2009, we'll be able to see Cillian and Max in Hippie Hippie Shake. For now, we will keep you informed as to any information about Heart's production as we learn about it.

i agree , bt if cillian is really that of a good actor , he should b able 2 pull it off. its a pity he doesnt do much mainstream cinima. really miss seeing him on the bigscreen.

I'm still hoping Daniel Radcliffe will replace CILLIAN in "White Male Heart." Daniel is exactly the right age, he wants to explore edgier parts, and Cillian is, shall we say, starting to look a little worn around the edges. Nineteen to twenty-one is beginning to seem a little young for Mr. Murphy to be playing....

I don't remember seeing Max Minghella in anything, so I can't say anything about his acting, but if this is true I'm so disappointed. :( I was really looking forward to seeing Cillian and Eddie in the same film.
