The An Post will release a set of postage stamps in honor of the Irish film industry on 8 July 2008. Irish Stamps Collectors News proudly describes the set:
The nation's cinematic past, present and future are saluted in "Filmed in Ireland", a series of four stamps featuring images from recent films produced here, all of which have been successful both in Ireland and abroad. The films have been selected to represent the broader spectrum of the vibrant Irish film industry.
The four films to be honored through these stamps are The Wind that Shakes the Barley featuring Cillian, Cré na Cille with Bríd Ní Neachtáin, Kings with Colm Meaney, and Garage with Pat Shortt.
The set will be available for purchase through the An Post's Stamp Shop, so if you've ever wondered what it would be like to lick Cillian, here's your chance!
