Edge of Love production notes

The publicity campaign for The Edge of Love is slowly coming to life. While there is still no trailer online, Capitol Films, one of the production companies behind Edge, has the film's production notes available for download (click the Marketing Materials tab). Be warned: the lengthy synopsis contains spoilers, so read at your own risk. There are also quotes from the filmmakers and actors about the process of making the film. In part, Cillian commented:

"What was so appealing to me about the script was that dynamic between the four very different characters and how they interact. When they get to Wales the dynamic shifts and that's when it becomes really interesting. I liked the complexity of the character, the difference pre-war and post-war and I've never played a British officer before so that appealed. The opportunity to work with (director) John (Maybury) who I'd admired for a long time was irresistible and also to work with actors like Keira (Knightley), Sienna (Miller) and Matthew (Rhys), you don't get that opportunity very often".

Just a reminder to those of you in the U.K.: in addition to opening the Edinburgh Film Festival on 18 June, Edge will be released in London on 20 June, then widely on 27 June.

I'm soo excited for this film! This is the Cillian film that I am looking forward to the MOST, and it looks like it's going to be a very beautiful film (crossing fingers). I was reading the production notes (curiosity got the best of me), but I had to stop myself because I didn't want to spoil myself any further. Can't wait for this to be released in the States! :)

This is REALLY exciting!!! I can't wait till it comes out in the USA! This movie looks really good already.
