Peacock casting in Iowa

Production for Cillian’s new film, Peacock, is underway, and The Des Moines Register reports that filming will take place in and around Des Moines, Iowa starting 6 May, with local auditions for supporting roles being held in April. PMS Casting has a casting notice detailing the supporting characters being cast. The Iowa casting director is looking for "good actors who look and feel like 'real folks'."

Spoiler alert: If you click on the character names at the bottom of the casting notice, you will be able to read parts of the script. The casting notice also gives more details about the storyline and Cillian's character:

John Skillpa, a retiring, shy and completely nondescript bank employee, leads a double life as Emma, his female alter-ego, who, so far, has never ventured beyond the boundaries of John's house. But when a train derails in John's backyard, the nosy neighbors in his small town of Peacock, Nebraska finally meet John's "wife"—and the fragmented sides of John's split personality begin to rip asunder...

I just finished reading the parts of the script that were made available and I can honestly say that I truely love what I've read. I like the feel and mood of the story and the characters do remind me of many small midwestern towns I've been to(Minot, North Dakota in particular). The script didn't give away much pertaining to John/Emma, but I do look forward to filling in the gaps when the movie does finally comes out. I actually liked what I read so much that even if it weren't Cillian in the lead role, I would still want to see this movie. There is maybe one other actor, besides Cillian, that I feel play this/these character(s), but I am so glad Cillian wanted to play John/Emma. I believe that Peacock will be a wonderful movie once it is made. I wonder if there is a book?
