Detectives clips and preview

Three clips from Watching the Detectives have been available for some time now at ComingSoon.net, but juicier scenes are starting to hit YouTube. But before we cut to the video, I have to make a comment, and it's a comment that may be unpopular here: I got my hands on a review copy of Detectives, and as a Cillian fanatic, it chagrins me to say that I think it's a very weak film. There's a lot I could say about why, but I don't want to spoil it for others. Obviously, this is just my opinion, and everyone is welcome to differ, but I do predict with some confidence that it will receive poor reviews from critics. My hunch is that its amateurish quality has delayed its release.

That said, fans of Cillian will still want to see this flick. This scene and the following two certainly have their charms...

these comments have made me sad! i'm hoping to watch the film very soon but i know what everyone might mean about it looking weak. it's very different from everything else cillian has done but if anyone can pull it off, it's him!

Tee hee, the polish title of the movie is something along the lines of "Watch out for Voilet!"

My parents are Polish and get films on dvd from magazines regularly, unfortunately I don't think this particular magazine is shipped to the local Euro bakery where my parents buy said magazines.

After your original comment, I went and looked on IMDb and saw that it went straight to DVD in Poland. Then I wondered if you are in Poland, or if there was another country where it went straight to DVD, so thanks for getting back to me. I'm going to add the Polish DVD cover to our "Watching the Detectives" promo gallery.

I live in Poland. Since it is an independent production, the film has been released by a monthly magazine "Kino konesera", and not in the so called "official circulation". You can check it here:

Becau se we don't do dubbing here, everyone who's speaking English can watch it without a problem:)

For me it is already straight-to-DVD film, since it was released last week on DVD in my country. I wasn't very enthusiastic about this movie from the start, but now I'm a bit scared to touch it. Ouch...

Thanks for making those clarifications. BTW, one of the easiest ways to make sure we get the correct, working links is to email the editors! If the info is new, we'll post it and credit you.

By the way, on the bottom picture, when you paste it into the search bar thing, delete the space between 'http://' and 'img5gg...' and so on.

AND on the article, when you paste that one too, its adds a '%20' between the letter 'html' so delete the %20 thing and then those things should be working.
