IFTA nomination for Sunshine

Once again, Cillian has been recognized by his home country's entertainment establishment: he's received a an Irish Film & Television Award nomination for his performance in Sunshine. So far, Cillian's been nominated for an IFTA seven times and won once, last year, for Breakfast on Pluto. This year, he's up against Gabriel Byrne, Colm Meaney, Hugh O'Conor, and Pat Shortt. Cillian Murphy in Sunshine

Dalí and I to be published in July

Cillian's plum role opposite Al Pacino comes in Dalí and I: The Surreal Story, which is based on the memoir by Stan Lauryssens, whom will Cillian portray. For those curious to read the book, it will be out in North America and the U.K. on 8 July from Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press. Seems like an encouraging development—hopefully, we'll hear about the shoot getting underway soon.
