Batman villain poll on IMDb today

Ballot alert! The daily poll at IMDb today is "Who gave the best portrayal of a Batman villain?" In a field of iconic heavyweights like Jim Carrey, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Cillian is currently running second only to Jack Nicholson. (Nicholson's Joker is far and away #1; Heath Ledger may have an uphill battle ahead of him in The Dark Knight.)

E.T.A.: In the final tally, Cillian finished second (12%) to Nicholson (47%), followed by Pfeiffer (9%) and Liam Neeson (8.5%).

Jack's joker is a joke to Heath's. But it's not all his fault - the two movies took place in totally different worlds, and Jack's depiction was more proper for the world he inhabited, and vice versa for Heath.

However, I do think that Jack Nicholson thinks that just because he is who he is, and he slaps on the makeup - he could do no wrong as The Joker. He thought that the role was made-for-him, kinda like The Terminator was made-for-Arnold. But his Joker sucks compared to Heaths.

The role was not made-for-Jack the same way that The Terminator was definately made-for-Arnold. After Ledger's performance, every time I see images of Jack's Joker, I think of what an asshole he is for thinking all he had to do was slap on the makeup and he instantly becomes The Joker, "wait'll they get a load of me". Yeah, a load of shit cpompared to Heath. But then again - we are talking about the same guy from The Shining, so he gets some slack, I suppose.

While Nicholson's Joker is ahead, Heath Ledger's Joker will blow Nicholson's Joker away.

You got it right. I'm sooo happy for him. Both Jack's Joker and Cillian's Scarecrow are my favorite Batman villains

The fact that he's second to Jack Nicholson is amazing. I see that as proof that people really do acknowledge his greatness.
