Free Sunshine: S.F., L.A., Cleveland, Montreal ...and now more cities!

An anonymous commenter on the previous blog entry shared the news of five free preview screenings of Sunshine in four cities. Run on over to the Fox Searchlight site to RSVP and receive an email invitation to a screening. Keep in mind: you will not be reserving a seat; the events are first come, first serve.

ETA: New York, Chicago, San Diego, Washington D.C., and Richmond have been added to the list, and more may be coming, so keep checking!

Well, usually movie fans in Russia have to wait a month or more than the whole world, but in the case of Sunshine i can proudly post a review, since it premiered here April 12. I've seen it. Twice. Cillian is amazing. His acting and his looks and the way he delivers every line is a treat throughout the whole movie. The plot has its own twists and turns and the whole mix of genres - thriller, drama, horror, romcom, sci fi and more. It is really an experience and it makes you think and feel.

As Cillian and Danny Boyle attended the Russian premiere there was a press conference and Cillian said that he actually based his performance on the physicist who read the cast lectures on astrophysics. It really shows.

One of the best movies of the year and Cillian's finest one, i think. Worth twice to check.

We leave for NYC on 7/24, the day of the DC preview; maybe we'll just see it on our trip. Wish WTD was coming out soon!

You're welcome. More cities have been added today, and more might be added. Chicago, S.D., Richmond, and Virginia are the newest additions.
