It's a Sunshine day

Well, maybe not so much here in Canada, where Mother Nature's decided to dump another foot of snow. But a couple of goodies have warmed my heart: a fantastic video about Sunshine, some event pictures, and a new scanner so I can put up another article for you.

The video first…

Silverhawk sent us a wonderful "making of Sunshine" piece. Danny Boyle gets so excited when he talks about the immensity of the sun—his enthusiasm is infectious and is really making me anxious for the release!

It also contains a couple of short interviews with Cillian and some footage from the movie, including the set-up of a scrap between Capa and Mace (played by Fantastic Four veteran Chris Evans). But my favourite part was seeing Cillian grin as he admits that "making films is fun!"

(There's also what some might call a "spoiler"—nothing that hasn't come out in other articles, but if you want to go into Sunshine with no preconceptions, you might want to skip the last 30 seconds.)

New article and pictures

Empire's April issue has a nice feature on Sunshine. Since the focus isn't on Cillian it won't join our press archive, but it's still worth a read. Our gallery opens each image re-sized to display it fully within your browser, so if that renders the article too small for you to read, just save the images to your desktop, then open the files to view at their true full size.

And a few more photos from N.Y.C.

These are from the New York premiere of The Wind That Shakes the Barley, also thanks to Silverhawk. If anyone has more pictures from this event, or any other event that Cillian's attended, we'd love to have them on our site. Just send them to us at and you'll win our immense gratitude.

Many thanks to Silverhawk for the video and photographs!
