Another fan's NJ Watching the Detectives story

A fan's account of visiting Friday's Watching the Detectives shoot has just hit LiveJournal. Charming and funny, it was written by Lisa Berlangero, and if that name sounds vaguely familiar, that's because she and her friend Blair Apgar were quoted in the Courier News piece I referenced in my last post. After reading my announcement about the time and place of Friday's shoot, Lisa and Blair drove out to New Jersey from Long Island, watched from close range as Cillian shot a scene, and took loads of great photos (which, in true fan fashion, they are generously sharing with anyone who wants copies).
Here are just a few of my favorite bits from Lisa's post:
A camera set up like 20 feet or less away from us to our right. ...That's when we saw the scene with the manager and the cop being filmed. I actually had no idea it was a scene until I heard, "Cut!" and they bustled about and began shooting it again. I was like, "I really can't believe I am watching this movie being filmed." I hadn't even seen Cillian yet and it was already becoming such an experience.
Eventually, they finished that one scene and moved across the parking lot to in front of the store where they put a bench on a bit of grass and that was where Lucy and Cillian [were going to do their scene]. ...I finally see just how much work and time and effort it takes from the whole crew to film a movie. ...My friend and I abandoned our lovely bench for a spot much closer. We were literally about 10 feet away. It was out of control.
...In all his amazingness, Cillian Murphy strolled casually from behind a line of parked cars in a light blue tee shirt and jeans with his adorable blue shoes and began talking to some people working by the set. I was in love. I was in complete and utter love. I couldn't believe that precious few feet separated me and my favorite actor. He was soooo handsome. I was like, no, it's not just the camera, god damn. I was freaking my little fangirl ass off.
...Watching Cillian film a scene is really an experience. I'll tell you here and now I wasn't able to meet the man in person because it wasn't exactly an autograph session, but it felt like so much to see him do his job. Simply doing his job, in front of you. Everything about him, his deep blue eyes, the way he would smile and carry himself through the scene...
Wow... I wish I could have been there too! *sigh*
