Our staff contributor describes the scene (her gallery follows).

A shiny car pulls up. Someone gets out, and whispers of "Is it Cillian?" go around. No, it bloody well isn't. Don't know who the guy was, but thinking it was Cillian makes my palms go sweaty, and all knowledge of how to operate my camera goes out of my head.

Another shiny car pulls up and this time it's him. Bloody D-list celebs in the way. Hands shaking way too much, I get a few blurry pics. He's over giving an interview to Entertainment Tonight Canada so I get a nice view of his back. Once he's done with the two interviews, he comes over to the 30–40 people who actually know who he is. He's coming up the line: there I am, camera at the ready.

Lots of jostling starts, as everyone wants to get a picture or something signed. I'm getting pushed from all sides, and I think he may pass me by, so I call out (not yell out) his name. He looks up at me, and I swear his eyes sear my retinas. There are no words in the English language to describe the colour of his eyes. Blue just does not do them justice. I see nothing but these giant blue circles in front of me, and I forget to take a picture; he does, however, sign my book.

As he moves on, I slightly recover my composure and get a picture, but most of my pictures are of other people's hands and cameras they stuck in front of mine to get pictures. I move further down the line and ask a guy standing right in front of Cillian to take a picture. The guy holds my camera backwards and upside down, and gets a sideways picture of me instead.
