Synopsis:

This Margo Harkin-produced documentary, narrated by Cillian Murphy, uncovers the history of Irish surfing, recounting the story of Irish surfer George Freeth, who reintroduced surfing to Hawaii after European missionaries had destroyed the indigenous sport. He then brought surfing to California and became the world's first lifeguard, winning the Congressional Medal of Honor for his lifesaving feats. U2 is on the soundtrack.

Of Note:

This film debuted on 22 February 2008 at the Dublin International Film Festival, where it won the audience award, beating out In Bruges, among other contenders.
