Synopsis:

Loosely based on the real-life orbit surrounding Welsh poet Dylan Thomas in the war-torn London of 1940, The Edge of Love is an intimate look at four lives torn apart by jealousy. Dylan (Matthew Rhys) and Vera Phillips (Keira Knightley) are childhood sweethearts who meet again years later, after Dylan has married Irish Londoner Caitlin MacNamara (Sienna Miller). The single Vera soon finds an admirer in British soldier William Killick (Cillian Murphy). Although Caitlin senses the gravitational pull between Vera and Dylan, the two women become friends. But as William romances Vera, Dylan becomes increasingly jealous. Even though William knows that Vera loves Dylan, when he receives his orders to fight in Greece, he convinces her to marry him. The now-pregnant war bride returns to her native Wales with Dylan and Caitlin. When a shell-shocked William returns from duty to hear gossip about his wife and Dylan and to discover that Vera has spent all of his earnings on Dylan and Caitlin, he lashes out in a way that changes all four lives forever.

Cast also includes Anne Lambton, Jonathan Phillips and Paul Brooke.
