Synopsis:

Jonathan Breech (Cillian Murphy) is a sarcastic, intelligent, charismatic young man ready to do something with his life—that is, end it. After the funeral of his alcoholic father, Jonathan lives it up all night, then drives a stolen BMW off a cliff to finish with a flourish. When he unexpectedly survives, he chooses a mental health hospital over prison, thinking it's the easier choice. Immediately drawn to two fellow in-patients, the tempestuous Rachel (Tricia Vessey) and sweet-natured Toby (Jonathan Jackson), Jonathan soon finds himself required to attend a therapy group that has taken a pledge to stay alive until New Year's. With (and without) the help of Dr. Figure (Stephen Rea), the issues troubling these young people move gradually toward the surface, as do their feelings for each other. Ultimately, self-discovery leads to action as these characters make decisions about how to live (or not) with pain.

Cast also includes Tomas O'Suilleabhain and Paul Hickey.
